Patients kin assault doc
Doc was attacked for showing carelessness

The enraged family members of a patient, who died after an operation, attacked the doctor, and destroyed furniture at the hospital at Vadodara on Friday. The police have initiated a probe into the incident.According to family members of the victim, Anil Chauhan, a resident of the Laxminagar Society at Gorva, was suffering from a stomach ache since a week. He went to Arpan hospital at Nizampura, where Dr Lalit Machar examined him. Anil got admitted into the hospital and was operated upon by the doctor on Thursday. He fell unconscious on Friday morning. The patient's kin called the doctor. The doctor rushed back to the hospital and after examining the patient, he said that Anil was suffering from a heart trouble. He was immediately shifted to Om ICU. Anil died in the afternoon. Anil's relatives attacked the doctor for allegedly showing carelessness towards the patient. Dr Machar was seriously injured and admitted to the ICU for treatment. The mob also destroyed the furniture of Om ICU. The hospital staff called the police to bring the situation under control.
