Parents want kids out of Gurukul

Mahesh Agarwal, a Dahod resident whose son Vivek was classmate of Abhishek Vaghela, wants a school leaving certificate (SLC) for his son. Agarwal has brought his son back home and is in no mood to send him back to the Gurukul. He said there were many other parents who wanted to take their kids out of the Gurukul. "There is a possibility that many other parents, too, would follow suit and demanding the SLC. Since, the school authorities are not too keen to issue SLC, they are postponing the issue," a parent told DNA on the condition of anonymity. The frightened parents of the Gurukul students don't want to take any chance with safety of their kids. "I have been demanding the SLC for about two weeks, but the school has requested me to think again," Agarwal told DNA. Vivek was admitted to the Asharam Gurukuls 5th standarad in Ahmedabad only this year.
