Man kills daughter for marrying out of caste
Girl had not sought her fathers permission to marry the boy she loved

An ex-armyman killed his daughter for marrying a man outside his caste. The girl had not sought her father's permission and had got married secretively six months ago. The police registered a complaint and arrested the accused and his wife.Jaiveersingh Bhadoria, a resident of Parshv-Bhumi complex at Makarpura recently retired from the army. Jaiveer, originally from MP, had settled in Vadodara with his wife Kusum and three children, Vijay Veer, Vandana and Kajal. His daughter Vandana was in love with a Marathi youth Mayur, who stayed at Wadi area in the city. A wielding machinist, Mayur married Vandana in November 2007 without the consent of Jaiveer. Upset at her decision, Jaiveer and his wife Kusum decided to murder their daughter.Jaiveer planned the murder and visited his hometown buy a country-made pistol. The two then called their daughter over on the pretext of getting her signature on some documents. The unsuspecting Vandana agreed to come to her parents place to sign the documents. She was accompanied by some of her in-laws.Later, when she was alone, Vandana's father closed the door of the house and fired three rounds at her. He also attacked her with an axe and killed her. Having killed his daughter, Jaiveer then opened the door of the house and called up the police to surrender. Police inspector RD Lashkari said, "Jaiveer surrendered himself to the police along with his wife, who also admitted her involvement."
