VSE also plans to spend around 40 lakhs in updating its website

Vadodara Stock Exchange would soon turn to an educational institution for those keen to know the A to Z of stock market. VSE has decided to start certificate courses in financial markets. It also plans to spend around Rs40 lakh in updating its website. There is no age bar for the candidates who want to apply for the courses. VSE chairman Sudhir Shah said, “We have designed special courses for those who want to know A to Z of stock market, regardless of age. It will commence from June 2008, decisions regarding the affiliation will be finalized in the next board meet.”Currently VSE has 63,000 demat accounts with 310 share holders and 100 brokers, the regional stock exchange has geared up to facilitate its customers with latest technology. VSE would launch its website within a few months. All demat transactions will be just a click away. Daily turnover of the share broker, demat holders and information regarding the happenings at VSE will be regularly uploaded on the internet. Moreover people who want to open new accounts can apply online.
