Probe panel nails BIEL

The three-member committee investigating the BIEL fire incident has said the company had stored 12,000 tones of chemical residues violating GPCB norms. On the basis of the report, the GPCB, it is understood, may take action against the BIEL. The committee found there were no facilities for fire safety and the industrial safety and health department is likely to file a case against the BIEL. The report of the panel appointed by the district administration said even fire fighting equipment was not found at the BIEL.
