Even as the firing row has yet to die down, BJP MLA from Waghodia Madhu Srivastav finds himself in thick of another controversy. The sword recovered by the police has turned out to be completely different from the one displayed to acknowledge the supporters during the procession near Baroda dairy at Makarpura. The police claim they will investigate the matter to find the truth.Madhu Srivastav, who is also the chairman of Baroda dairy, had taken out a procession from his residence to the dairy on Saturday. He was riding a horse, while large number of his supporters joined the march. Sources said that having reached near the dairy, the MLA acknowledged the gathering by holding a sword like a 'vibrant warrior'. The MLA had been carrying the sword from his residence, sources said, adding that the sword used by the MLA was a straight one, with a steel grip and a red case. While acknowledging the crowd, Srivastav was captured in camera and was found holding a straight sword. He then fired several rounds in air from his German brand revolver, which caused a major uproar later. Makarpura police lodged a complaint against the MLA for violating the Arms Act and the commissioner's orders too. The MLA was subsequently arrested and a German brand revolver, four shells and sword were recovered. But, surprisingly, the sword that was recovered by the police officials turned out to be different from the one captured in the camera. When asked about this, police inspector R D Lashkari said, "The police will probe the matter. We will also ask the MLA about how it may have happened." Meanwhile, the police have given information
