Future group brings Kurta Company to Vadodara
This is the first such outlet in the country; the firm plans to open eight outlets in the next six months

Future group launched its new retail brand format called Kurta Company — a one stop shop for stylish and contemporary Indian Kurtas. The first exclusive store of Kurta Company was launched at Vadodara on Tuesday. As per name, the Kurta Company will only have exclusive varieties of gents and ladies trendy kurtas and related accessories.The company plans to launch around eight new outlets in next six months. In an exclusive talk with DNA Money, the concept head of ethinic formats, Future group, Hemant Salva said, “Kurtas have become a fashion statement of todays youth. Ethnic wears are in great demand by the youths. We have a special space for ethnic outfits in all our hyper super markets promoted by the Future group. On the basis of the response and the current demand of stylish and trendy kurtas by the youth we came up with the concept of Kurta Company.”“Gujarat has always been our first preference, as Gujaratis have a great sense of style and fashion. Not only that they are price conscious. So if the concept succeeds in Gujarat, we can flourish anywhere in India,” he added.Talking about the expansion plans, he said, “We plan to launch our next store in Delhi. While we plan to enter Ahmedabad with a 30,000 sq ft store exclusively for the ladies.”
