The state has yet to recover from the shock of Patan and security of women in the educational institutions across the state has become a matter of great concern. The release of a CD by a varsity syndicate member on Thursday has revealed what has been happening on the MS University (MSU) campus. The MS University has of late been in news for indecent activities on the campus.A statement by the university vice-president, Hiral Sarvaiya, has further raised a storm over safety of girl students on campus. Sarvaiya told DNA that she had received a complaint from two hostel inmates about sexual harassment a few days back.About the complaint, she said, "Two girl students were on the campus when at around 8pm they were stalked by some hoodlums who did not appear to be students of the university. They were making indecent demands. Both the girls panicked and ran for help. There was no one around for help and the stalkers followed them for some time."Hiral blamed the security lapse on the campus for such incidents. "The lack of security has created a fear among the girls on the campus,"she said.
