The sex- in-MSU CD has created ripples on the university campus, forcing the students to start a voluntary drive on Friday to put a check on such events.University general secretary Rupesh Prajapati, along with some students of the university, checked the identity cards of all boy and girl students to thwart such activities on the campus. The students virtually played the role of security guards. Rupesh, while taliking to DNA, said, "We voluntarily initiated the drive to control such couples who were seen having sex or any such activities on the campus. Since the university officials and the security personnel did not take any action in this regard, we ourselves started this drive." Lawyer and syndicate member Narendra Tiwari on Thursday released a CD of video-clippings for public scrutiny which show couples having sex. Meanwhile, National Students Union of India (NSUI) president Jha Bharwad and its members met police commissioner Rajan Priyadarshini and submitted a memorandum to provide adequate security on the university campus. The commissioner, however, was not in the office. The memo was handed over to the DCP. The delegation also burnt the lurid CD in front of the commissioners office and demanded immediate action.
