The tribal girl who was gang-raped by 15 criminals at Jhagadiya recently has decided to appear at the board examinations that begin next month. Ever since the shocking incident, Jhagadiya villagers were wondering whether the victim was in a condition to take the examinations for which she had prepared for one whole year. However, waiving aside all doubts about her health after the trauma of rape, she told DNA, "My board exams are just a few days away. I will appear at the examinations and will try to clear all the papers. I want to become a teacher." Recalling the trauma of what she had endured, she said, "All the accused should be hanged till death." Most of the 15 accused in the case have been arrested. Her family members say she is yet to recover from the shock of rape. "She is quiet most of the time," they said.
