First joyride for buoyant Barodians
People enjoy travelling in newly-introduced city buses; auto drivers take a hit

It was a dream ride for the Barodians as they commuted in the buses of Vitcos on the first day of its service on Monday. The onlookers stopped and turned around to take a look at the newly-introduced buses that zipped past them. However, the auto drivers faced a dent in their income. The commuters praised the private bus service for having reached them to their offices in time. Barodians enjoyed travelling in the state-of the-art buses which had all the necessary amenities inside it. Vijaysingh Vaghela, who travelled from Gotri to Railstation, said, "I remember the days around a decade back when I used to travel in the city bus from Gotri to Makarpura. The city desperately needed a new private bus service. Vitcos is a boon for the Barodians."Yuvraj Singh, another commuter, said, "It was a pleasure to travel in the bus. The private bus service is really one of the best things to happen for us."Sangita Parmar, who also commuted in the bus today, said, "I work as a customer care executive at Fatehgunj. Before the bus service started, I used to go to the station and then to Fatehgunj. It took me around 35 minutes to reach my office in the scorching heat. The new bus service has decreased the travel time to just 20 minutes. The fare also got substantially reduced."However, some passengers sounded a little skeptical. They said, "Let's see whether the efficiency of the buses is maintained or not. How long will they give us the special discounts!" A few said that they would like FM channel on the bus while others pointed out that the first aid box was empty. The auto drivers took a hit due to the plying of the private buses. Their income reduced substantially. The auto men sounded very helpless. Raju, an auto driver, said, "We are confident that the people will come back to us as soon as the special discounts are over. But we certainly face a tough competition from the city bus service."
